    Beeswax candles

Do you like snuggling up inside surrounded by candles when temperatures drops. And do you prefer lighting a candle on a summer terrace when the sun sets? We do to! But you probably had no idea that most candles are damaging to your health. It all pretty much comes down to one ingredient: paraffin wax. When it’s burnt, harmful substances are released into the air. Burning these candles is bad for your lungs and for the environment too. So choose beeswax candles instead! Beeswax candles are a completely natural product, made by our honey bees.

    Advantages of beeswax candles

Beeswax candles have many health benefits: they emit a healthful light and even clean bad particles from the air during burning: ideal for people with allergies or asthma. Beeswax candles also burn longer, because beeswax has the highest boiling point of all waxes. As a result, a beeswax candle lasts on average 2 to 5 times longer than the same paraffine candle. Perfect for longer enjoyment!

    Hand-rolled beeswax candles
We offer both hand-rolled and cast candles at Nectarist. Hand-rolled candles are a result of slowly rolling wax wafers over a wick. These beeswax wafers originate from the beehive, on which the bees build their honeycombs. Our Nectarist beeswax candles, hand-rolled by employees of AMAI Mechelen, provide hours of warm and bright light.

    Tea lights

At Nectarist, we take sustainability seriously. Tea lights are almost always enveloped in album covers, which are very harmful to the environment. Another benefit of our Nectarist beeswax candles is their eco-friendly, zero waste packaging! Why not buying a glass tea light holder accompanying your tea lights? Better for burning and for the environment, over and over again.
